SIRKIT POST

Sirkit Post is a half-critical and half-speculative design project after the thesis City No.2 Future Immigrant Dreaming. It is an attempt to amplify the current immigration issues and it asks questions about what our future immigration in urban areas will look like.

Sirkit Post is a newspaper from our parallel world, set in a plausible future where the city of Sirkit is inhabited by the host community as well as four major immigrant communities.

It captures the legacy of immigration conflicts and reshapes them into a new urban model that highlights these issues.

The visual finalization took the form of a newspaper, presenting a contradictory visual style compared to the traditional tone of a newspaper.

The design of the Sirkit City map draws inspiration from circuit boards and electronic components, showcasing how they resemble micro urban planning upon closer look. This aesthetic also lends a dystopian sense, prompting readers to question the reality of what they are observing.
